Giving Back Program Benefits Los Angeles County Fire Department

The Picerne Family Foundation donates 2 thermal imaging cameras to Fire Station 30.

Newport Beach, CA – June 5, 2019 –The Picerne Family Foundation’s Giving Back Program recently donated two thermal imaging cameras to Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Fire Station 30 in Cerritos, CA. These state-of-the-art devices help firefighters see through smoke, which increases the chances of identifying trapped victims, locating missing persons and recognizing electrical hotspots. The high-tech cameras can also be used to determine the liquid level of containers in hazmat incidents.

“We are honored to provide lifesaving resources to help make our local community a safe place to live and work. Collaborating with Fire Station 30, we identified that Cerritos and the public could immensely benefit from these new thermal imaging cameras” shared Victor Nelson, Executive Director of The Picerne Family Foundation. “We continue to listen to the needs of the community and provide resources that enhance the quality of life for everyone in Cerritos.”

Since 2004, Picerne Residential has invested over $11 million in support of charitable programs and initiatives, including the Educational Visions Program, Global Sustainability Project, Artist Outreach Project and Giving Back Program that benefit the communities where our residents live, work and call home.
